Corchiani, Alfred R. "Corky", age 73 of N. Cape May, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Alfred was born in Philadelphia to Alfred and Lillian Corchiani. He graduated from Wildwood Catholic, where he was one of the star basketball players on the champion team of 1965. He also went on to graduate from Stockton University and Glassboro State College, and then worked for Wildwood Crest Police department for 26 years retiring as Police Chief. Corky enjoyed watching sports, especially basketball, and coached the CYO Basketball team of the mid-1980's. He loved attending all of his grandchildren's events, going to the casino, and playing golf. He also was a member of the St. John Neumann Parish. His favorite saying was "I'm a lean, mean, fighting machine!" Corky is predeceased by his parents, and brother Michael Corchiani. He is survived by his spouse of 53 years, Patricia, son Christopher (Nicole), and his daughter Susan (Jeff) Kronemeyer. He was "PopPop" to his 3 grandchildren, Emery Kronemeyer, Jacob Kronemeyer and Gabrielle Corchiani. Corky is also survived by his sisters Gloria Corchiani, Annamarie (Harry) Corchiani-Klaiss, and Joy Corchiani, 1 niece, and 1 nephew. A viewing for Alfred will be held from 10-12pm on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd., N Cape May; a private burial will be held for immediate family at Cold Spring Cemetery.
