Janice M McGonigal, age 80, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Sunday, November 17, 2013 at her home. She was born in Philadelphia, PA; but has been a Cape May area resident since 1978. She spent her early years in Philadelphia; moved to Rio Grande, NJ; and Fishing Creek, NJ; before finally settling in North Cape May. Janice was the owner/operator of M & R Market in Fishing Creek. She also worked at Maud Abrams School in North Cape May and for Columbia Records in Philadelphia. Janice was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard D Milone in 1973 and by her second husband Bryan J McGonigal in 1990. Also preceding her in death were her brothers: Russell Williams & Edward Williams; and her sisters: Elsie Richards & Florence Junad. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Flip) Louisot; her son Richard G (Karen) Milone; her son Sean (Rita) McGonigal; and her 5 grandchildren: Julian, Melina, & Kendall Milone; and Sean II & Cassidy McGonigal. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St Raymond's RC Church, Ocean & Bayshore Rd, Villas, NJ 08251; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cape may County Veteran's cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
