Obituary of Theresa Catherine Riper

Theresa C. Riper (nee Dellapenna) was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 21, 1944 and entered Heaven's gates on December 27th, 2020. Theresa's pride was in her school and her students, and she shared her passion for learning with thousands of children over the years. She attended Glassboro College and Seton Hall University prior to teaching at Cape May City Elementary for 25 years. Theresa had an unwavering faith in God. In her early years she was a sister of Saint Joseph Chestnut Hill for 15 years. Theresa helped raise three stepdaughters. She had a great impact on the independent, strong, resilient women they are today. Theresa was predeceased by her mother, Peggy Dellapenna and her father, Julius Dellapenna and is survived by her husband, three step daughters and three grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, sister-in-law and two nephews. Theresa will be dearly missed by all that knew her. The funeral will be a private service.
