Dougherty, James Charles "Jim", age 83, of Villas, passed away on September 8, 2020. James was born in Philadelphia to the late Francis and Frances (Gregory) Dougherty. He served our country in the US Navy and the Merchant Marines and was a member of AMVETS and he also worked in the Sanitation Department of Lower Township until his retirement. Jim is survived by his sister Theresa Dougherty of Turnersville, NJ and his friend Henry "Butch" Prusinski with whom Jim spent his last days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Jim 11:00 AM Wednesday September 30, 2020 at the Parish of St. John Neumann/ Church of St. John of God, 680 Town Bank Rd., North Cape May followed by Interment with Military Honors at Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Road, Cape May Court House
