Obituary of William M. McDowell

William M. McDowell, "Bill", age 94, of Cold Spring passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at his home. William was born in Philadelphia and moved to Cold Spring (Cape May) in 1974. He spent his working years as a Philadelphia Fireman (1946-1974) and later was a Bus Driver for Lower Twp. Schools. Fishing, his boat, and time spent in his garden were his passions. Bill was a long time member of Holy Spirit Lutheran Church in Villas, NJ. He is survived by his three children: Carol Mauermann (Richard), William R. McDowell (Linda), and Robert C. McDowell (Mary Louise); six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Bill was a wonderful father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed greatly by all who loved him. A memorial Service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, 1220 Bayshore Rd, Villas; where friends will be received after 10 am.
