Obituary of Marie Kitchenman

Marie (Oldfield) Kitchenman Marie passed on Thursday, July 16, 2020 at her residence. Marie was born 8/30/1934, in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. At the age of 17, eloped with Robert Kitchenman, then 19 years old to Maryland. They resided in Philly for quite a few years and then migrated to the Parkwood section of Philadelphia. After sometime, they moved to Trevose with her husband and children. Marie spent summers in the Villas and eventually retired in North Cape May with her husband. Although Marie liked the shore, she wasn't crazy about the beach. However, she did go because her husband so loved it. Marie was a feisty, high spirited woman with strong opinions which she didn't mind sharing. When she was younger, Marie was an avid gardener, tinkerer, and homemaker. As a child of the depression, she certainly appreciated the value of a dollar. Marie enjoyed the company of her siblings and friends, she was happy to share "a" cocktail while gathering around the kitchen table discussing recent events. After her loving husband died, Marie remained in North Cape May. However, her social life diminished over the years and she was quite ill for the last several years. Marie is predeceased by her daughter, Linda (Kris), and is survived by Robert J. (Kathy), and Dennis (Renee), as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Marie is the last of the Oldfield clan, a strong and loving family, she will be missed. Interment private. Condolences can be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com.
