Henrietta "Hank" Chinn age 78 succumbed to COVID-19 on Saturday April 25, 2020 and went home to be with the Lord. Born in Philadelphia, she resided in Cape May County for about 50- years. Hank was preceded in death by her soulmate & husband of 47-years, Richard Chinn. Besides being a devoted wife, her accomplishments were tremendous. Despite challenges with cerebral palsy, Hank embraced life never allowing her condition to get in the way. Hank retired after 25-years of service as an aide at the Cape May County Special Services School where she adored the youth. As a woman of deep Christian faith, Hank was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church in Cape May, NJ. She enjoyed baking Christmas cookies and treasured friendships. Hank is survived by three sisters; Dorothy Hughes, Marie Slobogin (John), Bernadette Strecker (John); a brother, John Schwartz; brother-in-law Robert Chinn (Cheryl) and family; and sister Betty Lou Chinn-Hermosillo (Toni); and very special couple in Hank's life, Glenn and Brenda Douglass and family. There is a multitude of people whose lives have been touched by Hank as she was an inspiration to all and will be greatly missed. As a tribute to Hank, contributions may be made by spreading love and kindness to others in her memory. Interment will be privately held at Tabernacle Cemetery, Erma, NJ.
