Hamill, Diana A., age 74, of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on March 17, 2020 in Villas, NJ.
Born February 24, 1946, she was preceded in death by her birth parents (Mike Ditro and Myrtle Bishop) and stepfather (Walter Simoes). She was the loving wife of James Edward for 53 years. Beloved mother of James (Michele) and Brian (Jaime). Adoring Mom-Mom of 4 grandchildren (Ryan, Erin, Megan, Andrew). She is also survived by her brothers (Sam and Michael) and many loving family and friends.
Diane's best attributes were kindness, strength, independency, and selflessness, always putting others before herself. She was perpetually pleasant, with an infectious smile and laugh, even during her last days.
Diane worked as a beautician for 50+ years, including owning Hamill's Hairstyling with her dear friend (Debbie Hamill Clark). She later became an officer at the Greater Cape May Elks Lodge 2839.
Her favorite hobbies were long walks along the beach and boardwalk, casino trips with her mom and sister-in-law (Anne Hamill Myers), and making meals for her family. She was also an avid bowler that appeared on the former television show "Bowling for Dollars".
Services and interment will be held PRIVATELY because of the current health crisis. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Diane's name to Holy Redeemer Home Care and Hospice. 1801 North Route 9, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
