Obituary of Arthur B Lance

Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arthur B. Lance, of North Cape May, NJ passed away after a long illness on February 1, 2020, where he was living at North Cape Center, in NCM, NJ. He was known affectionally as Art, Artie or Lance by family and friends. He was a brilliant musician, in love with the intricate beauty of nature and the cosmos; a seeker of that tranquil happiness one might find in both a sunset over calm seas and the roar of hurricane rains pelting the windows. He was also a really funny guy. Art has lived in the Cape May area since the late 70's working in many different restaurants over the years. He loved cooking, playing guitar, fishing and hanging out with his son Jacob. His family wishes to extend their gratitude to Cape Counseling and especially to North Cape Center for their loving care of Art over the last 5 years. Art is survived by his son, Jacob Lance of Philadelphia, his brother Chuck Lance, his sister Audrey Celentano, his nieces Shmem Celentano, Rachel and Emma Lance, and Elise and Katie Chappman and his former brother-in-law Don Celentano and former spouse Tina Johnson, both close friends with Art. A Remembrance service will be held at Evoy Funeral Home at 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ., on Thursday, February 20, 2020. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11:00 with the service at 11:00.
