Schilling, Charles J. "Chick", age 91, passed away on Monday, January 6, 2020. After serving in the US Army during the Korean War, Charles started his career as a truck driver and retired from Leeds & Northrup Company after 38 years. He was a member of the UAW Truckers Union, VFW #5343 in Villas, and the Villas Fishing Club. Charles was also a regular usher at St. John of God RC Church, volunteered at Bingo, and was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He always made people laugh wherever he went, and was the best Husband, Dad, Pop-Pop, and Great-Pop-Pop ever. Charles is survived by his children Charles R. (Lisa) Schilling, David Schilling, Maryanne Schilling, and Judy (Bruce) Martin, grandchildren Holli, Sarah, Douglas, Elaina, Scott, Matthew, Olivia and Lauren, and great-grandchildren Connor and Landon. He is predeceased by his wife of 62 years, June (nee Baumann, 2012). A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 at 11am at the Parish of St. John Neumann, St. John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd., N Cape May, NJ; friends may call prior to mass from 9:30am-11am. Interment will immediately follow at the Cape May County Veterans Cemetery, 129 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ. Contributions in memory of Charles may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Del Haven Chapter, Bayshore & Sun Ray Roads, Del Haven, NJ 08251.
