Anna Lakofsky, age 94, of North Cape May passed away Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Anna was born April 18, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident since 2000. She is the daughter of the late Michael and the late Valeryja (Sowinska) Kendra. Anna was a member of the Golden Agers, the Polish American Club, and the Civic Club. She enjoyed reading and sewing. Anna was a member of St John of God RC Church. She was predeceased by her husband Carl Lakofsky in 1992; 3 sisters: Mary Friel, Jenny Kwortnik, & Sophie Miller; and 3 brothers: Joseph, Adam, & Rudy. She is survived by one daughter: Carol (William) Elisee of North Cape May, NJ; and one son: William (Maryann) Lakofsky of North Cape May, NJ. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and one sister-in-law: Veonaca Kendra. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 14, 2013 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
