William "Bill" "Mr. Bill" C. Ritchie Sr - 82 North Cape May, went peacefully December 26th, hours after his faithful loving dog Winnie crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. Bill was born in Collingdale, PA to the late Elmer and Catherine (Carter) Ritchie. He worked for Philadelphia Suburban Water Company for 20+ years and was also a lifetime member and past president of the Collingdale Volunteer Fire Co (Station #33). He was also a Boy Scout Troop leader and a member of the Prospect Park Masonic Lodge #578, and volunteer with Delco Lamskins Club. Bill enjoyed the family tradition of coming to Pierces Point in Cape May Court House since a young child and eventually started his own bait and tackle shop, Bill's Bait and Tackle, at the Point along the Delaware Bay before moving permanently to Pierces Point in 1985. The one street, Carter Road, at Pierces Point is named after his grandparents. Even though Bill's love and hobby was fishing and crabbing, as he was also a lifetime member of the Villas Fishing Club, Bill enjoyed driving school buses working for Lower Cape May Regional, Coast Cities/Laidlaw, and Sheppard Bus Services before retiring. After retirement and in his spare time Bill loved watching his favorite sports teams the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies and even some WWE with his children and grandchildren. Bill is survived by his loving wife and sweetheart of 25 years Colleen Ritchie, stepdaughter/caretaker Doreen Campbell, son Donald (Charlene) Ritchie, stepson Robert (Linsey) Campbell Jr, grandchildren Ryan Ritchie, Amanda (Daniel) Shockey, Ashlie (Ryan) Campbell, Brianna, Emma, and Addison Campbell, Lance Aldridge, great grandsons Peter and Graham Shockey, dear close friends as he referred to as his adopted children Tracie Driscoll, Brittani (Shawn) Roach, Jason Garrison and Krystal Garrison, William Aldridge, brother Robert (Dot) Ritchie, brother in laws Joseph Hollinger, Kevin Hart, Richard (Dolores) Hart, sister in law Helen (Richard) Wilson, and a host of nieces and nephews.
