Rich B Martin, Jr. age 91 of North Wildwood, NJ, better known as "Dick" by family and friends, passed away on Friday, June 7, 2019 at his home. Dick was born in Chester, PA and has been a permanent resident of Cape May Co. since 1985, having formerly lived in Erma for many years. He also had formerly lived in Sharon Hill, PA where he had been the owner-operator of Martin's Florist Shop. He was a former President of the Sports Booster Club in Sharon Hill, PA, a former member of the Folcroft Boys Club where he coached baseball for over 20 years. He had served as a Boy Scout Leader in Sharon Hill and was a life member of the Sharon Hill Fire Co. Dick was a life member of the Delaware Co. Fireman's Association and life member of the PA State Fireman's Association. He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth (2012) and his son Robert. Dick is survived by five children, Richard Martin of Leola, PA, Carolyn (Thomas) Brooks of Clermont, FL, Kenneth (Tami) Martin of Brookville, MD, Edward (Lisa) Martin of Maple Shade, NJ, and Donald Martin of North Wildwood, NJ. He also leaves 9 grandchildren and was expecting the arrival of his first two great grandchildren, and a very dedicated caretaker Wellington Kanshimike, for whom the family expresses their greatest appreciation. A funeral service will be held 11 AM on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May, NJ where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will follow services at the Cold Spring Cemetery. Condolences will be received at www.evoyfuneralhome.com
