Judith (Judy) M. Francis, 72, of North Cape May, passed away on April 7th, 2019 at home.
Judy was born in Bryn Mawr, PA to Grace and Harry Francis on October 10th, 1946. She attended grade school at Saint Monica's in Berwyn, PA, and high school at Villa Maria Academy in Malvern, PA where she graduated in 1964.
Following high school, Judy attended Saint Joseph's Nursing School in Philadelphia, PA, graduating in 1967 as a Registered Nurse. After working at several hospitals in PA and NJ, she focused her love of nursing towards local families in Cape May County as childbirth teacher for almost two decades. Later, while continuing to raise her children, Judy went on to become the school nurse at Our Lady Star of the Sea School in Cape May. Having an immense love of music, and a beautiful voice, Judy also served her community as Music Director for St. John of God Church in North Cape May, as well as the Music Director for Sunday services at the United States Coast Guard Training Center Cape May. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, reading, playing the piano and watching her beloved soap operas.
Judy is survived by her brother Harry, her four children Paul Cipollone (Stacy), Kathlene Smith, John Smith (Cara), and Marguerite Smith, eight grandchildren Paul Runyon, Rachael Runyon, Nicole Cipollone, Zoey Cipollone, Nicholas Donley, Shawn Smith, Karter Smith, and Chelsea Smith. She is preceded in death by her mother Grace, father Harry, and sisters Kathleen and Patricia.
