Sorry for your loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" strengthen your family during this difficult time (Isaiah 61:1,2)

Aunt Bernie you were one of a kind!! You ALWAYS put everyone before yourself all your life, you were the most sweetest, kindest, genuine person ,you were a true Angel on Earth! As I sit here and write this I have so many memories going through my head and everyone of them good ones... I’m so honored to have been your niece and Godchild Every memory I have of you makes me smile !!! My favorite Ice Cream is Cherry Vanilla, thanks to you ... I remember hiding in your closet when I was a little girl in the kitchen in Colwyn drinking your big bottle of Holy Water and my Mom telling me to stop and you said it’s not gonna hurt her let her go it’s Blessed... All the memories I have at Saint Frances Nursing Home visiting Grandmom every Sunday....(You took such good care of Grandmom) I remember when Bobby was little you made him a sandwich and he pulled all the crust off and you told him he should eat it because it gives you curly hair and he said but Aunt Bernie I don’t want to eat curly hair... lol I can still hear your laugh when he said that... I also remember a time when Bobby asked you who the dude on the refrigerator was and you said “WHO him, right here pointing at the picture... Bobby said yes, and you said that’s the Pope.. Pope John Paul and you said to him doesn’t your Mother take you to Church and Bobbys reply was yea when Mom Mom and Pop Pop come to visit!!! Oh Boy I wanted to hide under your table that day!!! But years later we laughed about it !!! You sure will be missed Aunt Bernie you were the BEST AUNT we all ever could have dreamed of having !! I love you so much please give everyone up there love for me,especially my Mom and Dad xoxo God Bless you Always ... Until we meet again <3

My dear Aunt Bernie , you were a guiding light for us all. Some of my earliest family memories are of you and Grandmom visiting us, and rides in your car. You taught by example what it means to love and care for one another. Thank you for taking us to visit Grandmom in the nursing home, it is those kind acts that took me there with my family to see Aunt Sis 2 years ago. You had those beautiful Brogan blue eyes. Thank you for taking care of my Father, for sharing his pictures and stories, and for being there for me when it was time to let go. I appreciate your cards and letters over the years. You shared your faith with all those around you. Most of all, you showed what it was to have the true love of Christ. You served Him every day of your life as you served those around you. Your love and example lives on. Thank you for your love and prayers. You will be deeply missed. Hug my dad and sister for me.

My Aunt Bernie. I am so happy, so grateful, so blessed to have been so close with you! You were my rock! You were always there for me every night to talk to on the phone. You really helped me work thru the tough times of losing my parents. You gave me strength and uplifted my spirits! I grew to love and cherish all our evening calls! I loved hearing stories about Gramom and Granpop and I am so proud to be a Brogan! What an incredible family we come from! I truly hope that over the years that I was as helpful to you as you were to me! You became my Aunt when I was a small child but you turned into my dearest friend when I was an adult! I am forever grateful for that! I am so fortunate that we got to share the past dozen years as friends! You shared your passion for nature and sunsets with me and I will always think of you everytime I see a beautiful sunset! I will always remember what a beautiful lady you were with a beautiful heart. You always had nice words for everybody. You would help out everyone in your neighborhood and spend hours every week driving them to Church and wherever else they needed to go in the "Bernie Mobile!" You wouldn't even accept gas money from any of them! You are one very fine lady, Aunt Bernie and I hope that someday I could possibly become even half the lady you were! You never complained. You always reassured me that you were doing fine and that you are ok. You never wanted me to worry. We always ended our calls with laughter over something. My Night Owl, Aunt Bernie and her niece, Midnight Margie! We've had some fun talks! I don't know what I'm going to do now without you. I've already picked the phone up twice to call you. I'll get my cup of tea and sit down at night now and say a prayer "to you". You taught me that! You said that when your friends past away, you can pray "to" them now instead of "for them". You also taught me that I can freeze butter so to buy it when it goes on sale and put it up in the freezer to keep it till it's needed. You gave us your "Yum Yum Cake" recipe and now your cake can live on down thru the generations to come. I'm so grateful that I had these special years with you! The beautiful sun set twice the day you left us! Please look down on us from Heaven and stay closeby to us during our journies here on earth. I wasn't ready for you to leave yet but be sure your wisdom will stay with me as I start to solo. Your words will be remembered time and time again. Thank you for being there for me and thank you for all the wisdom you shared with me! I can still hear you say, "Everybody wants to go to Heaven but we all say, but not today Lord!" I'm happy that on Dec.3rd, you and Uncle Mel will be able to be together on your wedding anniversary. Please say hello to all of the family up there for us! We love you, Aunt Bernie!

My Beloved Aunt Bernadette was an Angel on earth with a pure heart and a love for life, family and most importantly, our Lord Jesus Christ. She always put other's first and family and friends were important to her. People whom were fortunate to know her understand. Her husband Uncle Mel Sethman was the love of her life! She lived her life daily concerned about others and family. She love Cape May and the beautiful sunsets on the bay. I was fortunate enough to spend the day with her celebrating Thanksgiving together hours before our Lord called her home . She will be greatly missed...but She was ready to join her family with Jesus in Heaven
