Bancroft, Robert, age 73 of N. Cape May passed away on Monday September 17, 2018 at his home. Born in Camden and formerly of Haddonfield, Robert graduated from Haddonfield High School and was married to his loving devoted wife, Barbara (nee Knowles), for 50 years. He was a computer operator at Menz Food Service for some 24 years. When they closed he worked at Zuckerman Food Service as a Food Service Consultant from 1992 to 2015, and with Seashore Foods in sales in Rio Grande for a short time until cancer became more of a problem. He attended Rio Grande Bible Baptist Church. Robert is survived by his wife Barbara, son Keith Adams Bancroft (Tana Hagar), and sisters Nancy Paashaus and Martha B. Taylor (Alexander). He is predeceased by his parents Clayton and Grace (nee Boner) Bancroft.
"He was a loving husband and father, faithful to the end,
he had many customers who saw him as friend.
He loved our little church and all the people who gave of their hearts,
to cheer him and lift up his countenance when things got very dark.
And most of all he loved his Saviour, so tried and true,
hoping some day he'd show Him to you.
Now all his days will be in Heaven, remembering the blessings our Pastor had taught
and the love that he showed us - that love that we sought!"
By Barbara Bancroft, his loving wife
