Marilyn Amelia Langford Tillotson, age 87, of North Cape May passed away Monday, July 29, 2013. Marilyn was born September 27, 1925 in Wildwood, NJ to Beatrice and Frederick Langford. She graduated from Wildwood High School in 1943 as valedictorian of her class; where she met her husband of 70 years, H James (Jake) Tillotson. Marilyn is survived by her husband Jake and her three children: Cheryl Purdon (Eric), Dawn Brewer (Jim), and Gary Tillotson (Margo). Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Dan Tillotson (Charlee), Kelly Skipper (Gerry), Mark Godfrey (Carie), Ned Purdon (Carla), Kristin Russell (Colin), Alexis Posson (Luke), Allison Brewer (fiance' Marty Underwood), Cori Correra (Colby), and Jillian Harris (Jon); and nine great grandchildren. Marilyn also leaves two brothers: Frederick Langford & Gus Langford and one sister Gail Graustein. Ever the entrepreneurs, Marilyn and Jake owned several businesses: Wildwood Crib Rental, A Touch of Class, and the Pelican's Nest, to name just a few. Marilyn was an accomplished seamstress, making draperies for several homes and hotels in the Wildwood area. She loved spending time with her family and friends, reading her bible, and knitting. Marilyn was a lifelong member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Wildwood. There will be a memorial service at 12 noon on Friday, August 2, 2013 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2810 Pacific Ave, Wildwood, NJ 08260; where friends will be received from 11 AM to 12 noon.
