I worked 29 years with the city. It always made my day to run into Ralph. He was a painter, then general maintenance, and then worked the recycling yard. He was Ocean City. He embodied its values. Like many others, as property values went up, they had to move out. But he was true Ocean City. To know him meant you were truly from Ocean City.
He even worked the 6th Street parking lot in the summer. It helped my shift to stop and talk to him.
RIP Ralph. My condolences to his family
