Obituary of Florence May Sambenedetto

Florence M. Sambenedetto,(nee Johnston) age 80 of Villas, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 8, 2018. She is the beloved wife of 57 years to Richard A. Sambenedetto Sr. Loving mother of three children, Dawn (Joseph) Casey, Richard Sambenedetto Jr. and Nicholas Sambenedetto. Loving grandmother of Courtney (Eric) Haslam, Carly Casey, Matthew Casey, Richard Sambenedetto III, Victoria Sambenedetto, Giovanni Sambenedetto and Gavino Sambenedetto; great-grandmother to Amelia Florence Haslam. She also leaves 3 nieces and 7 nephews. She was born and raised in Moorestown, NJ, formerly from NE Philadelphia. She currently resided in the Villas, NJ. She loved to sew, quilt, crochet and knit. She always loved to make things for family and friends. Florence was a very involved person. She belonged to the Mother of Twins/Triplets Club in NE Philadelphia, the Camaco Quilters Club of Cape May, the Senior Center of Lower Township (Villas), Ham Radio (N3FP1), Fare Free of Lower Twp., and formerly Ladies Auxiliary Levitown Fire Co. #2. She retired as the Business Administrator / Board Secretary in the Cape May City School District. Her prior employments included Insurance Co. of North American, Metropolitan Life Insurance Co, IRS, CE Conover, PSFS, US Steel, Marty's Express and McDonnell Douglas Trucking Companies. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Friday May 11, 2018 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ 08204 where relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM. Entombment will follow services at the Cold Spring Cemetery, Lower Twp. NJ.
