Heidman, Richard, Jr., age 74 of N Cape May, passed away on Monday, May 7th, 2018 from complications of Parkinson's Disease. Richard served in the US Navy, was a truck driver for Vineland Transit, and was a member of Teamster Local. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Marjorie Heidman, and brother William. Richard is survived by his wife Ruth, children Charlotte Banks (Don), Chrissy Clayton (Scott), Karen Matsinger (Jesse), Robert Kershaw (Christine) and Kathleen Brown (Scott), 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and brothers Charles and Gary. Services for Richard will be held at 11am on Saturday, May 12th, 2018 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May; friends may call one hour prior to service from 10am-11am. Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson's Life Center of Southern New Jersey, 314 Central Ave, Linwood, NJ, 08221 or Got Your Six Fund (emergency fund for student veterans; make checks payable to "Got Your Six Fund") at Stockton University Office of Veteran & Military Affairs, 101 Vera King Farris Dr, Galloway, NJ 08205.
