Obituary of Margaret Winters

Margaret "Mickey" (Scharfenberg) Winters, 90, of the Bronx, N.Y., born on Aug. 28, 1927, in Manhattan, to the late Josephine and Henry Scharfenberg passed away on Feb. 4, 2018, in Cape May, N.J. She was the beloved wife of the late William Winters; former wife of the late Robert Marston. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Patricia and Marilyn; six brothers and sisters. Margaret is survived by her daughters, Christine Winters Cigna (Anthony Cigna) and Carol Winters, and grandchildren, Noelle, Louis, Michelle, Adriana, Natali, Sharon, Kerry, Joseph, Ashley, and Whitney; six great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren. Margaret loved knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, watching Jeopardy! nightly, telling jokes, reading, writing poems, story-telling, discussing history, going to bingo with her Cape May friends, feeding all of her birds and squirrels in her yard, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. A memorial service for Margaret planned for  Sunday, May 6th at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N Cape May; has been canceled
