Obituary of Maryanne G Fichter

Fichter, (nee Gingrich) Mary Anne, 87, of Upper Township passed away Mon., March 12. Born inPhiladelphia, Mary Anne was raised in Merchantville and Westmont, NJ and graduated fromMerchantville High School. She worked for Atlantic-Richfield Refining in Philadelphia in the 1950s. She spent 13 years as a homemaker where she was active in the Pennsauken Historical Society, Ben Franklin School PTA and assisted her husband in writing the book "A History of Pennsauken Township," published in 1966. She sewed costumes for school plays, typed manuscripts and was a literacy volunteer.
Mary Anne moved to Florida in 1969 where she enjoyed going to Pass-a-Grille Beach in St.Petersburg Beach. She returned to New Jersey in 2013 to live closer to her son. Mary Anne issurvived by her son, Jack Fichter, of Upper Township.
