Obituary of Catherine L. Hahn

Catherine L. Hahn of New Castle, Delaware and Villas, NJ passed away on Friday, Feb. 23 just a few days before her 94th birthday. She was born in Wilmington DE the daughter of the late John and Ella Lipinski. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Johnny, and her husband, Ralph. She is survived by her beloved sister, Eleanor, her daughter, Ellen, and four nieces and three nephews. After graduating from Wilmington High School, Catherine worked for DuPont for several years before marrying and becoming a dedicated homemaker. She loved cooking for her family and sewing. For many years, she made every stitch of clothing her daughter owned. She also loved music and dabbled with playing the piano and organ. Reading mystery stories was another favorite pastime. She loved ALL animals and absolutely doted on the pets she owned throughout the years. She will be dearly missed by her family and neighbors in the Villas. A special thank you to her dedicated and extraordinary caregivers Michelle McCloskey, Diana and Emma Levering and the staff from Compassionate Care Hospice.
