Praying for Anna's family and all who love her. An encounter with Anna was a blessing and surely reminded me of the fruits of the Spirit.

It would be impossible for anyone to preach a sermon on faith and perseverance that would excel what Anna proved. As I was greeting at church one Sunday, I watched her struggle up the front steps of the church. The determination and agony on her face preached what our Lord Jesus must have felt going to Calvary. She wanted to be at church, and nothing, including her physical condition, was going to stop her. She smiled when she entered that holy place, as I am sure she is smiling right now. I will forever recall that moment of just how important attending church is to many Christians. I counter that with the weak excuses of some: I don't feel good today or I have a sore throat, I can't go to church. If Anna could struggle up the steps, one by one, holding onto the railing for dear life, just to attend church, I know it meant the world to her to praise Jesus and be among fellow worshipers. We can all rest assured in faith that Anna now is with Jesus and her loved ones. She is seeing Him face to face, asking those questions we still ask. We see in a mirror darkly, now ANna sees in full light. Praise God for the life of Anna, and may Jesus send angels to each member of her family in this time of sadness at her earthly parting. May her soul forever rest in peace, and may God's light ever shine upon her.
