Obituary of Jean Victoria Christian

Jean Victoria (Caddell) Christian, 77, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2018. She was born December 17, 1940 in Jersey City, NJ. She grew up in Atlantic City, NJ and was a graduate of Atlantic City High School. After moving to Philadelphia, she graduated from Frankford School of Nursing and worked as a nurse until her retirement. After retirement, she moved to Wildwood Crest, NJ. Jean was the loving wife of Joseph Michael Christian Sr. of Wildwood Crest, NJ. She is the mother of Joseph Michael Christian Jr. (Michelle) of Warminster, Pa and Stephanie Jean Christian (Derrek) of Ocean View, NJ. She is survived by her sister Gloria George of Huntington Valley, PA and was preceded in death by her sister, Martha Cook (Alan) of Florida. Jean was better known to us as Grammy -AKA Gramcracker, to her 9 amazing grandchildren; Jahvin, Amanda, Morijah, Makayla, Sage Victoria, Judah, Ruby, Asher-Christian and Kai -Lavender. She was their biggest fan and never missed their school activities, parties, basketball games, baseball games, field hockey matches, soccer games and tournaments, and dance recitals. She had many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She has many friends who will miss her kind and generous heart. Jean had a love for the beach like none other and could often be found reading a book by the ocean. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday March 31st at The Lighthouse Church, 1248 Rt. 9 Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 at 10:00 am. A graveside memorial will immediately follow at the Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 129 Crest Haven Road Cape May Court House, NJ O8210. Immediately following, a luncheon will be held at The Breakwaters at the Dunes at Doc Macgrogan's Oyster House 8600 Landis Ave Sea Isle City, NJ 08243.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital . Condolences can be shared at www.EvoyFuneralHome.com
