Barbara Lee Ecklund (née McMullen), age 68, of N Cape May, formerly of Dennisville, NJ and Columbia MD, passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2018. Barbara was born June 5, 1949 in Troy, NY and has been an area resident since 1989. She worked as a RPN at Howard County General Hospital in Columbia in MD and later at Cape Regional Medical, a teacher at CMC Vo. Tech in the LPN Program, and a Band Parent at Middle Twp HS Marching Band. Barbara was also a member of Dennisville United Methodist Church. Barbara is predeceased by her son Joseph Ecklund. She is survived by her 3 children, Angie Ecklund (husband Rick Hale), David Ecklund, and Mary Ecklund, two grandchildren, Nathan Horvitz and Stevie-Jo Knapik, sisters Patricia (Greg) Maher and Judy (Danny) McElwaney, step sister Kathryn Suzanne Hart and step brother Thomas Hart. A memorial service for Barbara will be held at 2pm, Saturday, February 3rd at the Dennisville United Methodist Church, 134 Main Street, Dennisville, NJ 08214.
