Obituary of Antoinette Romero

Antoinette "Toni" Romero, 59, of Villas, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 after a short but fierce battle with cancer, in the home of her sister Rose Marie Grone. She went peacefully with her family by her side. Toni was born to Anthony "Bud" and Harriet Votto on April 9th, 1958 in Cape May Court House, NJ. Because she had so much love to give, she was married twice; to Patrick McCarthy Sr. and Charles Romero. She is survived by her four sons, Patrick, Michael, Jason and Mark, and her 11 beautiful grandchildren. Toni spent her entire life caring for others. She took care of mentally and physically handicapped adults for many years and also served as a foster parent to children in need of loving homes. She loved Italian food and the Philadelphia Eagles but sadly, didn't live long enough to see them win the Super Bowl in 2018! I guess she figured she'd be a better cheerleader from up above. She was a selfless and loving wife, sister, mother and "Mom-Mom" to all of her family and she will be greatly missed. Her Life Celebration Gathering will be held on Saturday, January 27th at the Villas Fishing Club from 3-6pm. Please come prepared with fond memories and good stories.
