Obituary of Anthony Covello

Anthony Covello, age 85, of Wildwood Crest passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. Anthony was born May 14, 1932 in Newark, NJ, formerly lived in Bloomfield, NJ, and has been a Wildwood Crest area resident since 1980. Anthony is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Joyce (Ziccardi) Covello, who he shared magical times with in Florida; and his two daughters Joy Ellis and son-in-law Mike Butler & Jody Barone. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren Christina, Jaime, Freddy, Mino, and Jina, and 5 great grandchildren. He is the son of the late William and the late Marie Schiavone. He was preceded in death by his sister Mae Agolia. Anthony was a Union Carpenter working from the Essex County Union. He enjoyed walking (especially on the Wildwood Boardwalk), drinking coffee with his MAB Morning Coffee Crew, building model boats, wintering in Florida, and spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren and dog Rudy. Anthony was an avid sports fan and loyally followed his North Jersey baseball, football & hockey teams. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
