Frank R Whitbeck, age 77, of Villas passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017. Frank was born December 12, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA and has been a Cape May area resident since 1993. He was a diesel mechanic working for a Philadelphia trucking firm for most of his career. Frank enjoyed fishing and building model airplanes in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Whitbeck and his brother Sonny Whitbeck. Frank is survived by his wife of 50 years: Elizabeth (Gable) Whitbeck, one daughter: Melissa Whitbeck, and one son: Francis Whitbeck. Also surviving are his grandson James, his brother Walter Whitbeck and his sister Helen Hoffman. There will be a funeral service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
