Obituary of Brett W Auerhahn

Brett W Auerhahn, age 73, of North Cape May passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his home. Brett was born October 26, 1944 in New Britain, CT. He grew up in Yonkers, NY, attended Roosevelt High School in Yonkers and the Cooper Union School of Engineering in New York City. Brett practiced as a Civil Engineer for over 50 years in both the public and private sector. In 2010, Brett retired to the beach community he fell in love with 30 years ago. He is survived by his soulmate, loving wife, and best friend Carolyn; his adored and loving daughter of whom he was so proud Jennifer; his other best friend and walking buddy whose job it was to keep him exercising Cocoa; and last but not least his adoring, 49 year old tortoise Tillie. Also surviving is his brother-in-law Mike Szymanski of Glen Cove, NY. Brett was preceded in death by his parents Bill & Jo Auerhahn, and his two sisters: Beth & Cathy. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
