Augostino E. "Gus" Papale, age 88, of Villas, NJ passed away Monday, July 8, 2013 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA; raised in Camden, NJ; formerly of Magnolia, NJ; he was a Cape May area resident for 26 years. Gus split his time between Villas and Largo, Florida. He served his country in the US Army during World War II in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater. Gus was a union contract painter working out of Local 1331 of Camden, NJ. He was an avid fisherman, bowler, and beach goer. Gus is survived by his wife of 66 years Dorothy (nee Beideman) Papale; his sons: Kenneth (Sharon) Papale, Robert Papale, Thomas (Kate) Papale: and daughter Patricia (David) Martin. Also surviving are his brother Edward Papale; his sister Clara Chapman, and three grandchildren: Timothy, Michael (Ginny), & John. Friends and family will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, N Cape May, NJ 08204; with a memorial service at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
