Eldon Scott Poole, "Eldie", age 63, of Cape May passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at Heathsouth Rehab of Vineland, NJ. He was born November 25, 1953 in Philadelphia, PA; formerly lived in Philly; but summered and retired and spent most of his time in the Cape May area his entire life. Eldie is the son of the late Calvin and the late Ceila (Porbacka) Poole. He worked for PG&W of Philadelphia as a foreman, retiring in 2003 and moving full time to Cape May. Eldie enjoyed fishing & hunting, was a member of the Cape May Marlin & Tuna Club, where he was the Tournament Director for many years, and was a member of the Elks Club of Erma. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Poole in 2003 and his brother John Zigulich. Eldie is survived by his daughter Lori (Joseph) Gennello; his sister Anita Halista; and his grandson Christopher Gennello. There will be a visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Monday, October 23, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204. Interment will be private.
