William G Hedge, age 91, of Erma, NJ. passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at his home. William was born March 20, 1926 in Lancaster, PA; formerly lived in that city; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1974. He is the son of the late Arthur E and the late Anne E (Phelan) Hedge. William served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed by the Armstrong Cork Factory in Lancaster and later by the North Wildwood Police Dept. as a Maintenance Worker. William enjoyed fishing and reading books (especially History books). He was preceded in death by his wife Catherine (nee Schueing) Hedge in 2003, his brother Arthur Michael Hedge, and his sister Dorothy Hedge. William is survived by one daughter: Mindy (Ronald) Czyzewski and one son: Gary Hedge (friend – Mary Moore). Also surviving are five grandchildren: Lauren Raby; Ronald Czyzewski, Jr.; Ashley Hedge; Lacey Hedge; & William Hedge. Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
