Lorraine E Calverley, age 70, of Villas passed away peacefully Friday, July 5, 2013 at her home. Born in Camden and formerly of Point Pleasant, NJ; she has been a Cape May area resident for 49 years. She was employed by as a bookkeeper at the Woodbine State School; but she also was a waitress at the Villas Fishing Club, and Captain Starn's Restaurant in Atlantic City. Lorraine was a member of St Raymond's RC Church in Villas. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Villas VFW, a lifetime member of the Villas Fishing Club, and she enjoyed crocheting. Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband Richard Calverley, Sr.; her son Richard Calverley, Jr.; her daughter Ronda Wiseman; her sister Eleanor Nicholson; and her brother Thomas Harris. She is survived by her son Thomas (Pam) Calverley of Toms River, NJ; her daughter Catherine Nelson of Astor, Fl; her son Howard (Kathleen) Calverley, Sr. of New Bedford, MA; her son Richard (Mary) Calverley of New Smyrna Beach, FL; her daughter Lorraine (Randall) Monaghan of Villas, NJ; and son Bruce Calverley of North Cape May, NJ. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. The family suggests donations in Lorraine's memory to the Love of LindaCancer Fund, PO Box 1053, Wildwood, NJ 08260. Interment will be private.
