John Frank Wrobel, age 87, of North Cape May passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at his home. John was born June 4, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA; formerly lived in the Nicetown Section of Philly; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1998. He is the son of the late Frank and the late Mary Wrobel. John served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by HJ Welsch Co, Pleasantville, NJ as a Service Manager for 15 years. John was a kind and funny man who enjoyed helping other people. He especially loved doing painting. John is survived by his wife: Catherine Ann Wrobel; his two brothers-in-law: Charles Schmidt & Larry Schmidt; and his two sisters-in-law: Helen Miller & Mary Ann Bowdren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St Mary's Cemetery, 1056 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204. The family suggests donations in John's memory to a charity of the donor's choosing.
