John Edward Kwasnieski, age 91, of Villas passed away Thursday, September 21, 2017. John was born July 17, 1926 in South River, NJ and has been a Cape May area resident since 1960. He is the son of the late John and the late Anna (Sydor) Kwasnieski. John served his country in the US Army during World War II and was involved with dismantling Hitler's bunker. He was an entrepreneur involved in many businesses including: Sratco Boat Works and Sales, was a canvas maker, a marina owner in Grassy Sound, an Evinrude dealer, and a used car dealer, car collector & restorer. Later in life he enjoyed going to the casinos and ocean cruising. John was the co-founding member of the Cape May County Polish American Club, a dancer, gave Polka lessons, a Harmonica player, and loved playing percussion instruments. He was catholic by faith and attended the Parish of St John Neumann. John was preceded in death by his first wife Alice in 2003, his second wife Elizabeth in 2017, his daughter Dianne Kwasnieski in 2009, and a previous companion Virginia Teufel. He is survived by his son John M (Lisa) Kwasnieski, his daughter Claire Reeves (Bob Riper, Jr.), and 4 grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
