I remember Mr. Smedley from the early 1970's when I stayed at his home on Chew Avenue in Germantown. I was close friends with his son, Joe. He was a wonderful family man and a gracious host. Had I known he lived only a few miles away in No. Cape may, I would have tried to visit him. God rest his soul.
