Harris "Ed" Ramsey, age 67, of Erma passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 24, 2017. Born in Chester, PA he was predeceased by his father Harrison and mother May Ramsey. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Lorraine; his son Ed (Jeanine) of Cape May Court House; his sisters: Maryann Cremin of Villas & Sandi (Ronnie) Materio of Cape Coral, FL. Ed graduated from Lower Cape May Regional High School Class of 1968. He coached both Lower Township "Royals" T-Ball from 1982 to 1984 and Lower Township Little League "Rotary" from 1985 to 1987 taking both teams to championships. He was so proud of his teams and still talked about his "boys and girls". Ed also was credited in Black Jack from East Coast Gaming, the first dealers school in Atlantic City in 1978. He loved traveling in his RV and also began traveling outside the US to the islands. His favorite destination was Aruba. He retired in August 2008 from the New Jersey Department of Transportation as a Principle Engineer with 32 years of service. Ed touched everyone who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He had a special relationship with his buddy "Nitro". There will be a memorial service at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Ed's memory to the Lourdes Medical Center, Kidney Transplant Department, 1601 Haddon Ave, Camden, NJ 08103 (write Kidney Transplant Dept. on memo line of check).
