Obituary of James A. Norris

James A. Norris, Sr., age 89, of Rio Grande passed away peacefully in his home with his family by his side Monday, March 20, 2017. James was born October 14, 1927 and married the love of his life, Lorraine Brion aka Nan, on June 6, 1953. James was a child born of the Great Depression. A WW II vet who was with the allied occupation forces in Germany. He was a shoe shiner, a chicken coop cleaner, a bus driver, owner of K&N Amusements, and a builder, until he found his passion of roofing and siding (owner and operator of Norris Aluminum) which he worked until weeks before his passing. More importantly he was a loving and caring family man, whose soft spoken nature and kindness highlighted his personality. He helped raise several sisters: Alberta Geiger & Mary Sigurdsen. Survived by his brother Conrad Norris (Virigina); his two children Lorraine Calabrese (Dominic Sica) and James Norris III (Tammy Norris); his 5 grandchildren: Lori Decamillo (Marc Decamillo), Allan Calabrese, James Norris IV, Brendan Norris, and Tyler Norris; and 4 great grandchildren: Eddie George, Robby Cummiskey, Benjamin Calabrese, and Alana Decamillo. Now is the time to rest easy to the sounds of Sinatra as you and Nan use the stars as your dance floor. Watch over your family from the crap table in heaven as you roll 7's and 11's with Jesus and the saints. We love you and will miss you. Till we meet again Pop. Xoxoxo.
