Obituary of Torlief Hoff

Torlief "Sonny" Hoff, age 83, of Erma passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, March 7, 2017. Torlief was born in Wildwood and was a life-long Cape May area resident. He served his country in the US Navy during the Korean War. Torlief was employed by Harbison Walker Magnesite Plant in Cape May Point for 27 years. Later he worked at his family's business - Dock Street Seafood in Wildwood. Torlief enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Jean Hoff and his sons: Robert (Maria) Hoff & Richard (Susan) Hoff. Also surviving are his 4 grandchildren: Robert (Kaitlyn) Hoff, Kelli Ann Hoff, Garrett (Maddy) Hoff, & Cody Hoff; and his great granddaughter Willow Jean Hoff. There will be a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cold Spring Cemetery, 780 Seashore Rd, Cold Spring, NJ 08204.
