Robert L. Rynkiewicz, age 88, of N Cape May died Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at North Cape Center of North Cape May, NJ. Robert was born June 29, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA. He is the son of the late Joseph Rynkiewicz and the late Jeanette (Puchalski) Rynkiewicz. He served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in Bermuda. He had worked for SEPTA, Philadelphia, PA as an Automotive Electrician for over 40 years. Robert has been a Cape May area resident since 1994 and was formerly of NE Philadelphia. He was a self taught artist and had attended Fleishers Art School in Philadelphia. He continued his studies under the tutelage of local artist Mary Simkins Federici in Cape May County. He enjoyed painting landscapes, seascapes, boats, lighthouses and still "lifes" especially sunflowers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne T. (Bradley) Rynkiewicz, two daughters: Anne Marie Galinas, Mary Agnes Dirvin; and a son: Robert (Ursula) Rynkiewicz. He also has four grandchildren: Nathaniel Dirvin; Marie Dirvin; Bridget Dirvin; and Jesse Rynkiewicz; a great-grandson, Parker Dirvin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday Feb. 6, 2017, 11:00 am at St. John Neumann Parish. St. John of God Church, 680 Townbank Road, N Cape May where relatives and friends may call from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be at St Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring.
