Obituary of Vincent Lane Kipp

Vincent Lane Kipp, Sr., age 87, of Del Haven passed away Friday, January 27, 2017. Vincent was born March 6, 1929 in Philadelphia, PA: formerly lived in the Roxborough Section of Philly; and has been a Cape May area resident since 1994. He is the son of the late Cyrus and the late Lucetta (Lane) Kipp. Vincent was employed by Tastykake Bakery, Philadelphia, PA as an Auto Mechanic. He served his country in the US Coast Guard Auxiliary for 20 years, teaching boating safety and inspecting boats; for which he received many awards over the years. Vincent was a former member of the Ridge Ave United Methodist Church in Philadelphia and a current member of the Green Creek Bethel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his daughter Valerie Kipp; his son James Wyckoff, Jr.; and his brother Warren Kipp. Vincent is survived by his wife of 35 years Janet I Kipp; his sons: Vincent L Kipp, Jr. & John (Michelle) Wyckoff; and his daughters: Bernadette Kleinman & Catherine (Greg) York. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a funeral service at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Green Creek Bethel UM Church, Route 47, Green Creek, NJ 08219; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at the Green Creek Cemetery.
