Robert Vanaman "Bob", age 84, of Cape May passed away surrounded by his whole large loving family on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at his home . Robert was born in Wildwood, NJ and a lifelong Cape May co. resident. Bob had been a commercial fisherman for many years before becoming a heavy equipment operator, truck driver and always a farmer. He was predeceased by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy "Joan"(nee Robson) Vanaman (2015), and sons Donald and Thomas Vanaman. He is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Andy) Ridgway, Pamela (James)Vanaman and Alice DiCola; sons Robert (Paula) Vanaman and David (Kim) Vanaman. He also leaves 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren and sisters Alice Lange and Emma Douglass.. A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM on Monday, January 30, 2017 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Road, N. Cape May, NJ 08204, where friends may call from 1 to 2PM. Burial of cremains will follow at the Cold Spring Cemetery. Condolences will be received at www.evoyfuneralhome.com
