William John Hunt, age 65, of Villas passed away Friday, June 7, 2013 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Born in Philadelphia and formerly of the Fishtown Section of Philly and of the Creamer Hill Section of Camden, NJ; he has been a Cape May area resident for over 40 years. William served in the US Army during the Vietnam War stationed in Korea. He was employed by Bayside Prison as a Corrections Officer attaining the rank of Lieutenant before retiring in 1999. William also worked for Cape May County for 8 years in the fare free transportation system. He was a member of the Villas VFW and enjoyed gardening and hunting. William was preceded in death by his parents Henry & Elizabeth Hunt. He is survived by his wife Kathleen Hunt; his children: Michele Hunt, David (Michelle) Hunt, Maureen Athey, Timothy (Melissa) O'Donnell, and Sean O'Donnell; his sister Roberta Hillman; his brother Walt Hunt; and former wife Rae Hunt. Also surviving are his grandchildren: Brian, Arial, Ashley, & Alexis Hunt; Joseph & Braydon Castillo; and Marissa, Lennon, Ashe, Errol, Holly, & Dylan O'Donnell. There will be a funeral service at 11:30 AM on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Evoy Funeral Home, 3218 Bayshore Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 9:30 to 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Cape May County Veteran's Cemetery, 127 Crest Haven Rd, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210.
