Obituary of Carol Ann Brill

Cape May author and Cove Beach regular Carol Fragale Brill, 65, died peacefully at her Lower Township home on January 14, 2017. Carol was a devoted wife of her best friend and beloved beach buddy Jim for more than 34 years. She will be deeply missed by her brothers Vince and Tom Fragale sisters Mary Caviston (John) and Jeanne Keller, brother-in-law Chuck Brill, sister-in-law Margie Williams, a grand clan of nieces and nephews, and friends and colleagues. Carol was born and raised in Philadelphia and was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School and State University of New York. She earned an MS Health Education from St. Joseph's University and an MFA from Fairleigh Dickenson. She and Jim moved full time to Cape May in 1997. Carol began her career in 1978 working primarily in healthcare as an HR executive and professional coach and mentor. She retired to enjoy a full-time escape to beaches in Cape May and Florida in 2014. She expanded her professional scope to writing in 1997, publishing two novels featuring Cape May settings, Peace by Piece and Cape Maybe. She was named a Press of 2016 best local author. There will be a Memorial Mass at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Our Lady Star of the Sea RC Church, 525 Washington Street, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
