George C. Beck, age 75 of Cape May County, NJ, died on Jan. 4, 2017. Beloved husband of Rosemarie Beck nee (McMahon), formerly a Philadelphia Police Officer and Instructor Philadelphia Police Academy (1966-1993) and Cape May County Sheriff's Security (1998-2012). He was preceded in death by Julie Beck (DiRenzo) mother and George E. Beck father. George was a devoted father of Jeffrey Beck (Cheryl) and loving brother of Thomas Beck (Sherry). He is survived by three grandchildren , two great-grandchildren, two sister-in-laws, one brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. George was a member of the National Fraternal Order of Police, Cape May County Emerald Society/Police & Fire, Loyal Order of the Moose Wildwood, NJ: Lodge 585, Elks Lodge Greater Wildwood, NJ: No. 1896, Villas Fishing Club, Retired Police-Fire and Prison Guards, and graduate of West Catholic High School, Philadelphia, PA: Class of 1960. He loved RV travel and camping with his wife and RV club members. Relatives and friends are invited to Evoy Funeral Homes, 3218 Bayshore Road, North Cape May, NJ 08204: Viewing, Wednesday January 11, 2017 6:00 PM-8:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday Jan. 12th , 10:45 AM at the Parish of St. John Neumann/ St. John of God Church, 6780 Townbank Road, North Cape May, NJ followed by entombment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Cold Spring, NJ.
