Obituary of Marie M Coulter

Marie (Capozzi) Coulter, age 91, of Rio Grande, NJ passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 with family by her side. Marie was the eldest of six children to the late Lawrence and Josephine Capozzi in Belleville, NJ. She lived in Belleville and Bloomfield when growing up and attended Carteret Elementary School and Bloomfield High School. Then her family moved to Passaic where she wed William Coulter and had four children. Later in 1985 when she retired, she moved to Rio Grande, NJ. Marie loved her music and loved to dance & sing. She was especially known for her yodeling and cha-cha which she loved to do for everyone. Marie was proud to have met her favorite baseball star Mr. Nolan Ryan a few times as well as her favorite guitarist Mr. Les Paul. She was especially proud to have grown up with the original founding member of the Four Seasons Mr. Tommy DeVito while living in the Belleville/Bloomfield areas. Marie loved to sit on her stoop in Bloomfield with him and sing. She worked in the garment industry and was a member of the ILGWU. Marie was an Air Raid Warden during the war and also worked on parachutes. God blessed us with an angel. Marie was a hard working, beautiful woman both inside and out who loved her family dearly. With mom the family always came first, no matter what, she gave her all. Mom Thank you for the gifts you've given us and loving us so. She will be greatly missed, never forgotten and always loved. My mother, my friend, she is my angel now. Marie was preceded in death by her husband William, her son William, Jr. and her daughter Laura. She leaves behind her daughter Rosemarie (Coulter) Dawiskiba (husband John and grandson Johnny) of Lyndhurst, NJ; daughter Eileen Coulter of Rio Grande, NJ; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
