Obituary of William Leslie Moore

William "Bill" Leslie Moore, Jr., age 84, of North Cape May passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Cape Regional Med. Center. Bill was born September 17, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA; formerly lived in Newtown Square, PA; and has been a Cape May area resident for 15 years. He is the son of the late William Leslie Moore, Sr., and the late Evelyn Mae (Williams) Moore. Bill was a Defense Logistics Expert working for General Electric for 37 years. He served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. Bill was a member of the NRA; the Masonic Lodge F&AM of Germantown, PA; a life member of the Cheese Club of Haverford Twp for over 50 years; previously served on the Haverford Twp. School Board; was a committed blood donor for over 60 years; and lastly was an organ donor through the Gift of Life Program. He was an active member of his church throughout his life, holding many positions. He is currently a member at Cape May Lutheran Church. Bill is survived by his wife Kay Moore and his 4 daughters: Carol (Dwayne) Sharp-Pfeifle, Leslie (Matt) Carden, Kimberly (Patrick) Henry, & Heather Moore. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 2 brothers: Raymond Moore & Paul Moore. There will be a Memorial Service at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at the Cape May Lutheran Church, 509 Pittsburgh Ave, Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
