So sorry for your loss .
Jim was one of the nicest guys I ever meet in my life.
I worked with him in the prop shop many years ago and I was with him and others a few years ago at the Tucaho inn for lunch where we had some good stories and laughs about the good times we had working together.
May he rest in peace!

Please accept my condolences, Mrs. Parkinson, family and friends. I worked with Jim at NAVSHIPSO, sitting behind him and once traveled with Jim. One night in Alexandria, VA we went into a French restaurant for dinner. We realized we will shortly be in financial difficulty when the waiter told us there were no menus. Situation escalated when another waiter placed the pristine, embroidered cotton napkins on our laps. Next up to bat was the wine steward. Jim was looking at me with a big smile on knowing we were now stuck. I forget how much the dinner cost, but it is etched in my mind mainly due to Jim's smile.
I will never forget Jim.

Growing up a Parkinson was a wonderful part of my life. Going to Philly to see my cousins. Jim was part of that memory. But mostly I will remember the man with the smile and kind heart. His life an example for us all. He will be missed by everyone whose life he touched. We are all better for having known him and sad to let him go. In a song called "Knowing What I Know About Heaven" is the line knowing that you are all the way home. The battle has been won, you are finally home.
