Margaret R "Peggy" Lawrik, age 92, of Cape May passed away peacefully Friday, July 8, 2016 at her home. Margaret was born in Brooklyn, NY; formerly lived in Pequannock, NJ; and has been a Cape May area resident for 30 years. She is the daughter of the late George and the late Hannah (O'Leary) Eckhoff. Margaret was a Bookkeeper for Reeves International of Pequannock, NJ. She was a member of the Parish of St John Neumann, the Christ Child Society, and sang for many years in the St John of God Church Choir. Margaret was also a member of the Red Hat Society, the West Cape May Women's Club, and the Gardening by the Sea Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Alex Lawrik and her sister Catherine O'Toole. Margaret is survived by her daughters: Carolyn (Joe) Remmert, Peggy Ann (Denis) Luoni, Jane (Don) Kozlosky, & Susan Lawrik; and her sister Joan Cronin. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Aimee (Mark) Stano, Meghan Williams (Joe Misnik), Jill Remmert-Willis (Jason Willis), Dr. Rachel Williams, Matthew Luoni, & Mark Luoni; and 4 great grandchildren. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Parish of St John Neumann, St John of God RC Church, 680 Townbank Rd, North Cape May, NJ 08204; where friends will be received from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Interment will be private.
